This policy explains what information Aussie Invest Calc collects when you use aussieinvestcalc.com.au (the "Site"), how it is used, and your choices. The Site is operated by an individual sole operator based in Australia.
All calculations are performed locally in your web browser. The financial assumptions you enter are not transmitted to us, not stored on any server we control, and not visible to us at any time.
If you use the "saved scenarios" feature, your saved assumptions are stored in your own browser's local storage on your device. We cannot read that data. Clearing your browser data will remove it.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the Site is used — for example, how many people visit, which pages they view, and which features are used. This helps us improve the tool.

These analytics events record that a feature was used — not the financial values you entered. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers. Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
If you choose to submit feedback, it is collected through a Google Form. You control what you include. If you provide your name or email address, we use it only to understand and respond to your feedback. Responses are stored in Google Forms and are subject to Google's privacy terms.
If paid features are offered and you make a purchase, payment is handled by a third-party payment provider. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. We may receive your email address and licence details in order to provide and support your access. The payment provider's own privacy policy governs their handling of your data.
The Site uses cookies set by Google Analytics for the purposes described above. It also uses your browser's local storage to remember preferences and any scenarios you choose to save. Local storage data stays on your device.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's opt-out browser add-on. The calculator will continue to work normally if you do.
Analytics data is retained in Google Analytics according to the retention period configured in that service (currently the standard period offered by Google). Feedback submissions are retained while they remain useful for improving the Site. Purchase and licence records are retained as required for tax and consumer-law purposes.
Some service providers we use — including Google Analytics, Google Forms, our website host, and any payment provider — may store or process data on servers located outside Australia, including in the United States. By using the Site you acknowledge this may occur.
The Site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Because the calculator does not transmit your financial inputs, those figures are not exposed in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information handled by third-party services.
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, request that it be corrected, or request that it be deleted. Because the Site does not require an account and does not store your calculator inputs, in most cases we hold little or no personal information about individual users.
To make a request, or to complain about how your information has been handled, contact us using the details in section 9. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
